Leca Stone

Leca stones increase aeration and improve drainage to the plants’ root system.

This is important in maintaining the health of the root thus preventing rotting.

In fact, it is an ideal growing medium in hydroponics systems.

The 8-16mm size LECA is widely used in various hydroponics system as it is “just the correct size” while playing the role of supporting seedlings when transplanting to net pot.

Furthermore, it can be mixed with other growing mediums such as top soil to improve the soil structure such as drainage and yet retain water during periods of drought when using with peat moss.

Sold in the following pack size, in volume as the weight might differ. Volume deviation +/- 5%.

Note that weight is definitely not equal to volume.
So don’t use 5 litres leca 5 kg. There is something call density…. the approximate weigh of 5 litres leca is 2kg but this will differ as according to size of the pebbles.
